GreenKPI

Website redesign, CMS migration

2024

Name

Challenge

The existing website of GreenKPI did not match it's brand vision, it was not fully responsive, it had several bugs, and was stuck in a poorly maintained and rigid WordPress environment that made it really cumbersome to make website updates and redesign things.

Solution

After chatting with Johanna, founder & CEO at GreenKPI (client), it became clear that we needed to rethink the website setup from scratch. Broadly these were the steps:

  1. Site audit

First, I gathered an overview of all the pages and issues on the current site. From there I made a comprehensive project plan

  1. Prototypes

For this project, I started the design process in Framer directly using an existing template as a base. This allowed me to very quickly create high-fidelity prototypes of each page.

  1. Copywriting

This was a complete redesign which meant that all copy had to be rewritten. The copywriting effort was done by the client. Having high fidelity prototypes at this stage really helped refine the copy.

  1. Final design

Once the final copy was in, I polished up the components and pages, added the assets, and set up proper responsiveness across desktop / tablet / mobile.

  1. CMS migration & launch

The migration from WordPress to Framer was quite seamless. We also made several SEO and pagespeed improvements when moving over to Framer.

We launched the new greenkpi.com on July 17, 2024.
